Hebraica President Celebrates Beit Halochem Benefit Event

São Paulo, October 22 witnessed an evening of deep emotion, reflection, and solidarity during a benefit event in support of Beit Halochem, an organization dedicated to the physical, emotional, and social rehabilitation of wounded Israel Defense Forces veterans. Held at Club A Hebraica, the gathering brought together more than 700 participants, including community leaders, supporters, family members, and special guests, among them actors from the acclaimed Israeli television series Fauda and veterans who carry the physical and emotional scars of war.
During an interview at the event, Deyvid Arazi, President of Hebraica, emphasized the importance of welcoming the soldiers and recognizing the role they play in defending Israel.
“It is very important for us to be able to welcome these people to our club. First and foremost, the soldiers who protect us. They put their lives at risk and their service directly impacts the lives of their families as well. It is a great honor to host them here and to support an institution that cares for all these soldiers,” he said.
Arazi also highlighted the work carried out by Beit Halochem, which currently provides support to approximately 90,000 soldiers in Israel, assisting in their physical, emotional, and social recovery.
“Today, Beit Halochem helps nearly 90,000 soldiers in Israel. Being able to host them here and support this organization is extremely important to us,” he stated.
Another highlight of the evening was the presence of actors from Fauda, who participated in the campaign and helped raise awareness of the cause among attendees.
“Having the actors here, representing the world of fiction, is also very special. Their participation in the campaign helps demonstrate the importance of Beit Halochem and the support it provides to these soldiers,” Arazi added.
In closing, the Hebraica president expressed his pride in hosting an event of such significance and social impact.
“Being able to hold this here at Hebraica and welcome everyone to our club makes us very proud,” he concluded.
The evening was marked by tributes, moving personal testimonies, and expressions of support for the veterans served by Beit Halochem, strengthening the bonds between the Brazilian Jewish community and the soldiers who have dedicated their lives to defending Israel. The event also underscored the importance of collective action in ensuring that these men and women receive the support they need to rebuild their lives after the challenges they have faced in service.
