How many more zeros?

How many more zeros will be added to indictment investigations? First there was Case 1000 against Prime Minister Netanyahu’s alleged bribery and corruption in the case involving billionaire Arnon Milchan. Then there was Case 2000 against Netanyahu’s corruption involving publisher Amnon Noni Mozes.

Now there is Case 4000 involving Bibi and Bezeq, our national communication telephone and television services. Whoa…. What happened to Case 3000?  Perhaps some corrupt spirit swooped it out of the dossiers !

I cancelled my telephone service with Bezeq and opted to use only my cellphone. I use HOT cable over YES and really don’t know the differences between the two.

And I don’t fully understand Bibi’s connection to Bezeq which is now under investigation and is considered to be the strongest of all the zero cases.

The Hebrew word for zero (or nothing) is “efes”. It is the word that Netanyahu has used over and over again to justify his innocence. “They won’t find “efes” (nothing) because there is “efes” (nothing) to find.

All these zeros should be filed under a document entitled “Milchemet ha efesim”… the war of the nothings.

The owner of the Walla news service, Shaul Elovitch is also the largest share-holder in the Bezeq national telephone service and has claimed that he was under pressure to provide favorable news about the Prime Minister.

Similarly, a previous editor of the Walla news service admitted that he was instructed to report on the Netanyahu cases in a more positive light.

A major witness gave information that he was forced to hide all negative information about the Prime Minister while reporting favorably about Sara Netanyahu.

Bibi Netanyahu has criticized the police investigation against him as “efes”…zero. Nothing. He compares it to a Swiss cheese, “full of holes”.

Thousands have gathered in Tel-Aviv’s central square carrying signs demanding that the Prime Minister resign immediately. Denouncing his comparison of the charges against him and his family as Swiss cheese, the thousands of protestors prefer to call it Limburger cheese, known to be one of the stinkiest cheeses in the world.

While Netanyahu once demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert as unfit to govern, his own words should be used against him. If his Likud partners do not convince him to step down, they may regret it terribly at the next national election.

How many more zeros can our country tolerate?
