Netanyahu is Going for a Deal and Elections

It is quite probable that Benjamin Netanyahu feels he has reached a dead end with Hezbollah, his government, and the anticipated budget. Thus, a deal to end the fighting and bring back the hostages that undermines the Iranians, combined with the improvement in polls, positions him well for the elections, and he may prefer to call for rapid elections. Now, still under an American president who is relatively tolerable to his shenanigans.

I believe this is the current situation.

I suppose this is also why we see his two publicists, Yonatan Urich and Topaz Luke returning to Twitter with their bullshit after several years.

On the one hand, it is good news that the few remaining hostages will be returned alive. Too little, too late. But every life and every family is important.

On the other hand, this strengthens Netanyahu’s position to continue leading the country towards ruin and destruction.

However, the primary interest of the State of Israel at the moment is, first and foremost, to secure the return of the hostages. Even if it is a quarter of the hostages that were alive in Decmeber 23’.

Following that, it is crucial to stop the unnecessary deaths of hundreds of Israelis, both soldiers and civilians, resulting from this needless war.

Additionally, there is a need to allow the residents of the north to return to their homes.

There will be no rehabilitation under Netanyahu—only further destruction.
Whether in this government or if we proceed to elections, a formation of another government under Netanyahu is catastrophic. But possible.

Netanyahu acts as a foreign agent in all respects. He is the most effective weapon the Iranians have against Israel. Removing him from power is the first step towards the possibility of recovery. After him, there there will still be a long road to recover and rebuild, but this is the first necessary step.
