Never let down your guard

As I write this, two hellish weeks and a day have passed since our world fell apart. Two weeks since the most brutal and barbaric terrorist animals in modern history invaded our country and attacked us; torturing, defiling, and butchering anyone they encountered. As our brave warriors rushed to protect the victims, the terrorists murdered them too. As of today, these Hamas beasts are still holding over 200 of our people hostage. As of today, the IDF and organizations such as ZAKA are still finding mutilated and burnt bodies which they are sadly unable to identify. And today, our small but strong nation is still reeling from the worst attack on Jews since the Holocaust. We are burying our dead. We are mourning our soldiers who fought valiantly and without a moment’s hesitation. We are crying for the hostages, which include children of all ages and the elderly. We pray to G-d that our army should be victorious, and destroy our enemy. That our troops return home safe and sound. We walk around with a knot in our stomachs, scared of what is yet to come, praying daily for victory and that G-d should protect our military and our nation.

YET…Sadly, and despite all we are going through, it is mind-boggling that there are some people in this world who hate us so much that they can’t admit that our Jewish nation has been brutally attacked and massacred. They have all seen the videos and pictures — many recorded by the savages themselves — yet they refuse to acknowledge what has happened. I am referring here to the most despicable members of the self-proclaimed “Squad” in the US Congress: Democrats Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Cori Bush. These shameless Jew-haters had already been making headlines for years, constantly bashing Israel and Jews whenever they could, inciting antisemitism and defending terrorists. What’s most disturbing is that despite all the proof of Hamas’ massacres, these three repulsive representatives of the Democratic Party in the US will not say a word in defense of those slaughtered and kidnapped. Nothing. They continue to defend the beheading of innocent babies as a necessary reaction to what they call the “occupation” of Palestinian. Yes, they are condoning the terrorist attacks as justified. They are supporting Hamas. These women are members of the US House of Representatives, and they are supporters of terrorism. If anyone had any doubt previously, it should now be crystal clear. These antisemitic Congresswomen are a disgrace to the United States and the world. Why is the U.S. allowing them to get away with this? How can they purport to represent Minnesota, Michigan, and Massachusetts, when they are so blatantly supporting terrorism? Have their constituents gone completely mad? Why were these people elected?  How have they let this happen?

I just heard horrific news that today, Saturday, a prominent synagogue president in Detroit, Michigan, has been found murdered outside her home, stabbed to death. Tragic and devastating. Another Jew murdered in her home! I wonder- will Squad member Rashida Tlaib make a statement condemning it? As of this writing, I haven’t heard anything. But you can’t help but connect the dots.  With a representative in Congress who supports the murder of Jews, is it any wonder that there will by copycat attacks? Do Jews all over the United States and the world need to worry about this?

The answer is YES. We should all be worried and on guard. Jews around the world- don’t forget who you are! In every country there are those who want us gone. They not only do not care about us, but wish to see us eliminated. Only WE can take care of ourselves. Never forget that. Let the world see that Israel and the Jews are NOT going anywhere. They can hate us and wish for our destruction. But we are here to stay and we will defend ourselves and be victorious.

Hashem protect our nation.  Am Yisrael Chai.
