No Crocodile Tears for Qatar
The tiny nation of Qatar, an oil-rich emirate in the Middle East, is one of the most influential players on the international political scene.
Not only does Qatar have its own campus branches such as Northwestern University in Qatar and Georgetown University in Qatar, but through the Qatar Foundation, the oil-rich nation provides substantial financial support through donations and scholarships to American students and research programs. Foreign students are sent to the United States to study, propagandize, and to influence American foreign policy.
Qatar has created, within its nation-state, an Education City. It is a large campus housing several prestigious United States universities.
Aside from the billions spent on United States education, Qatar seeks to influence the next generation of Americans, which it has done very successfully.
A research project entitled, “Follow the Money”, has studied the pervasive influence of foreign governments, foundations and corporations that promote anti-democratic and bigoted ideologies. Many of those nations, such as Qatar, have close connections to terrorism and terror financing.
Qatar has played the coinage on both sides; heads and tails. While Qatar hosts a huge American air base, the largest in the Middle East, it also is home to terrorist organizations such as Hamas, which it also financially supports. While Hamas operatives in Gaza plan the rape, murder and torture of its enemies, the heads of the organization sit comfortably in Qatar eating caviar and planning their next move. The United States and other nations, thanks to Qatar’s financial influence, sit idly by, blinding themselves to Qatar’s dual roles which have significantly influenced World affairs.
Qatar has had a substantial impact on fomenting anti-American activities and antisemitism on college campuses and universities. It supports education, which teaches values inimical what we hold dear in the United States.
As reported by the Free Press, Qatar is not alone in pouring billions into the United States and successfully changing the course of our future. Foreign countries such as China and Qatar have poured more than 29 billion dollars into campuses just over the last few years.
Israel has struck terrorist home base in Qatar and is now being excoriated by a world over which Qatar has significant control. It is no accident that the countries condemning Israel are dependent upon Qatar for billions of dollars in support.
The United States, like many other countries, have tried to have it both ways. They are friends to Qatar, gleefully taking Qatar’s money, and turn their gaze away from Qatar’s fomenting the cauldron of terrorism which is undermining all of Western civilization. Qatar cannot have it both ways, and the West needs to understand that it cannot dance with the devil without paying a price.
What is the price of taking Qatar’s money and accepting their control? The price that nations like Qatar exact from naïve democracies like ours is nothing less than an attempt to change Western culture in a way which enables the oil-rich nations of the Middle East to finance terror and undermine American values.
It is important to note that the influence of Qatar has grown substantially just since 2021. There obviously is a great benefit to politicians who eagerly grab the funds flowing into the United States from terrorist states and their sympathizers.
Qatar is the largest source of foreign donations to United States universities since reporting began in 1986. Qatar would not provide all this money, if it was not getting something in return. The universities receiving the most funding from foreign international agents are: Harvard, Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, University of Pennsylvania, MIT, Stanford, Johns Hopkins, Yale, Georgetown and Columbia. It is no accident that these universities have become extremely hostile to American values, US history, and minority populations. In fact, the universities receiving money from places like Qatar have become extraordinarily hostile to America in general, clearly preferring socialism and non-democratic ideologies over our own mixture of capitalism and a robust safety net which we try very hard not to call socialism.
Israel, by its attack on Hamas murderers in Doha has attempted to decouple the fraudulent impression of Qatar as a pro-Western oil emirate while at the same time financing hatred of American values and terrorist enterprises throughout the World.
Shed no crocodile tears for Qatar. While some Hamas terrorists have been killed by the recent Israeli strike, Qatar promises an attempt to isolate Israel in various international legal tribunals, which are controlled by the Third World. Qatar and its allies in the 22 Arab nations, have considerable control of the United Nations. In 2020, according to Wikipedia, there were 53 Muslim-majority countries. Compare this to the one Jewish state, half the size of New Jersey.
In America’s dance with the demon, the ultimate question will be who is going to lead and who is going to have their feet stepped upon. Right now, it is the United States which is being led and trampled by its enemies, both near and far. For United States diplomats, statesmen and politicians to believe that Qatar is benign and has eleemosynary values connected to its financial spending spree, is much worse than dumb.
Israel not only had a right to take out terrorist leaders in Qatar, but had a responsibility to the free world. Make no mistake about it, plenty of leaders are applauding Israel’s attack against Qatar’s longstanding hypocrisy and desire to control world developments.
