Oh Canada: Remember 9/11 As A Terrorist Act
We are coming up to the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. It is hard to believe so much time has passed, or that some in our Canadian CBC news establishment and political elites would prefer that we not label this a ‘terrorist attack’.
Here are some samples of Canadian outrage, which through wire services reached the US and its news networks, resulting in rightful rebukes to the CBC and our collective self-destructive Canadian ignorance and insanity.

CBC changed its terrorism policy for 9/11—but still not for Hamas
If this is not an argument to de-fund the taxpayer funded Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, I don't know what is.
Those of us old enough to remember 9/11 remember that day vividly, and the weeks and months of news coverage that followed. It was clear that this was a terrorist attack on the US, and the west, and liberal democracies and economies. Pro-terrorist crowds in the Palestinian territories ululated in celebration and danced in the streets and passed out candies to children, calling out, "Death to America". Shame on them and those who excuse them.
Shortly after that attack, which affected my friends and relatives in New York City, and much of the psyche and intelligence practices of western democracies, the US Department of State issued a report called The Terrorist Enemy. I have referred to this frequently in my published work, because our adversaries continue to use the same tactics in western democracies to infiltrate our societies and attack them ideologically and practically from within, notably by manipulating public spaces and human rights concerns. Canada has a similar and evolving list of terrorist entities, many of which are known to be present and recruiting in Canada, notably on university campuses and in mosques and leftist pro-Palestinian activist and student groups and charities. Note the continued listing of Al Qaida (responsible for the attacks of 9/11) and its various off-shoots. It is a criminal offense in Canada to support a listed terrorist group. Note the preponderance of militant Islamist anti-western, anti-democratic, anti-Israel, anti-semitic, anti-feminist, and anti-LGBTQ terrorist groups continuing to populate this list.
After decades of largely ineffective lobbying by our designated Jewish advocacy groups, even Canada's intelligence community has begun to admit the reality of extremist threats to our Canadian society and economy, some of which are already present here thanks to poor immigration screening.
In many cases, they have diluted or erased concerns for anti-semitic hate crimes and related terrorism in a general purpose category of 'religiously or ideologically motivated extremism' or attempted to play off anti-semitic hate crimes vs. Islamophobic hate crimes. Jews are not attacking Canadian Muslims or other minority groups. Please, make a note. Still, our intelligence agencies agree that it is possible that a catastrophic terrorist attack against Canadians is possible.

Recent surveys of Canadian Jewish university students indicate that 95% have experienced anti-semitism on campus or associated workplace harassment, designed to intimidate them from their lawful purposes, and to eliminate them from competition and academic and professional participation. Left unaddressed, this will lead to a large-scale Jewish Canadian 'brain drain' from Canada and a catastrophic loss to our Jewish Canadian institutions and charities over the long term.
Too often, anti-semitic harassment and hate crimes are excused as anti-Zionism or legitimate opposition to Israel's existence or policies or war tactics. Buy a vowel. Zionist is a code word for Jew. Zionism is the movement for the lawful and inclusive establishment of a homeland in Israel with human rights for all and rule of law, as established not only in our ancient Jewish law as documented in the Bible, but in contemporary Israel today.

Jewish history and habitation in Israel long predates the advent of both Christianity and Islam, and militant Islamist terrorism and its apologists today, who seek to capitalize on historic ignorance and shortsightedness.
They seem to be operating from a perspective of 'supersecessionism' and the belief that their religions and ideologies have made Judaism and Zionism obsolete. They are mistaken. Tell them so, as much as we are grateful for the support of many pro-Israel Christian and Arabic allies.
Here in Canada, our leftist and ineffectual Liberal government, which panders to its Muslim anti-Israel electorate has recognized Palestine in the absence of any guarantees of peace, disarmament of terrorist infrastructure, and recognition of Israel. As much as many Jews may condemn settler violence in the occupied Palestinian territories, Canada's recent unilateral statements (as usual, ganging up with other 'middle powers') will likely prove ineffectual and little more than diplomatic posturing in the long term.
Meanwhile, Israel's National Security Council has warned Jews and Israelis abroad to exercise extreme caution for their safety and security over the high holiday period. Please take all reasonable precautions.
