Pastor Paula White Discusses Zionism, New Book & Trump With Cindy Grosz
Did you ever feel that you start a conversation with a stranger and end the discussion feeling that you knew each other for decades?
It’s probably no coincidence, as mutual friends of ours have been trying to get us together for over a year.
We finally had a chance. Pastor Paula White’s new book, Something Greater: Finding Triumph Over Tradegy, could not have been released at a better time given the headlines internationally.
White is the Personal Minister and Spiritual Advisor to President Donald Trump. She also hosts a television show, Paula White Today.
In her just published book, you will discover Pastor Paula’s strength throughout her inspiring faith journey as well as your own spiritual gifts as you read her honest and stirring story. Early in Paula’s life, she didn’t know God, but there was always a pull to something greater. Once she prayed for salvation at the age of eighteen, Paula finally understood the meaning of grace and purpose, and realized God had been taking care of her the whole time.
Paula shares her journey of faith in SOMETHING GREATER, what she calls “a love letter to God from a messed up Mississippi girl.” She details feeling led to a higher calling as a child, how she came to serve others as a female pastor, and what led to being asked to become spiritual advisor to President Donald Trump.
SOMETHING GREATER will encourage readers to know and understand the “something greater” that is in all of them, and will teach them how to cling to faith in times of need and abundance.
Of course, discussed her love for Israel, Zionism and Trump.
Pastor Paula’s love for Israel began as an 18-year-old after “really” reading the Bible and understanding the roots of God and Judeo-Christian values and the importance of Jews and Israel in history.
The Bible Became Alive
She started visiting Israel in the 1980s and has lost count of how many times she has visited the land of milk and honey. She is always amazed about the growth of Israel and the advances she sees during each visit.
She has worked with many ministers through the years encouraging tourism, supporting an Israeli economy and even transportation.
In 2016, with the election of her friend, President Donald J. Trump, White expressed additional excitement. She knows firsthand that Trump always had a friendship and affinity with Jews and Israel. She has known Ivanka since she was a teenager. Her transition to a Jew was accepted and respected.
President Trump proved over and over again “Promises Made, Promises Kept.”
We were both at the Jerusalem Embassy opening and both have a strong admiration for Ambassador David Friedman. We, as Jews, are proud of his work. It was interesting to listen to a Christian Zionist leader express praise and adulation for someone I have known since I was 5-years-old.
When President Trump appointed David Friedman, a new, stronger relationship developed between Christian Zionists leadership and American leadership. Friedman has fulfilled obligations to us like no other.
Our group of religious leaders have grown to love him, have their deepest respect for him and are committed to working with him and the President. Friedman has made it possible for each of us to have access to him and he actually listens to our concerns and voices.
Both President Trump and Ambassador Friedberg prioritize long-term security, safety and protection as their goals.
At home, Pastor White visits The White House often. President Trump is devoted to prayer and has meetings regularly with leaders from church with various denominations. In 2016, President Trump received over 80% of the evangelical Christian vote. However, because of the Democratic agenda of impeachment, the base is more energized and she expects over 90% of Christian Zionists will overwhelmingly not only support the president, but work on all levels to get him re-elected.
On a personal note, White is married to hall of fame inductee, musician, Jonathan Cain. According to her, life is amazing and blessed. They arrange their schedules to be together and respect each other’s work. You can read more about White and her journey here:
