Pogrom, Blood Libel & Holocaust

On this Tisha B’Av, for the first time in my life, I feel the gravity and tragedy of the day. 

We are supposed to mourn the destruction of the Temple, as well as the many tragedies the Jewish people have experienced. 

Unfortunately, there are so many tragedies to keep in mind; the Holocaust, the Inquisition, the burning of Jerusalem, Khaybar, and on and on and on. We have been murdered, raped, stolen from, degraded, lied about, and spat on. 

The special abuse we have received has created three new concepts that highlight the depravity of our abusers; pogrom, blood libel and Holocaust. 

Today, though, we got to witness a bit of all three. 

October 7th, 2023 was a modern day pogrom. The Gazan monsters broke through the fence and committed acts that went beyond our worst nightmares. The Gazans burnt children alive, gang raped women, and murdered parents in front of their children, just to start. 

But along the way, they took hostages from a music festival, including Evyatar David.

I have had the pleasure of getting to know the David family, and there are simply no better people.  

Evyatar has been held hostage for close to two years, and today Hamas decided to release a video of Evyatar. 

Evyatar is emaciated, the monsters are giving him one can of beans for two days, so he does not die. They are making him dig his own grave. He most closely resembles a Holocaust victim. The Gazans have decided to force us to revisit our greatest tragedy. 

Meanwhile, Western media perpetuates a blood libel. 

The BBC sent an internal memo “instructing staff to state that “the argument over how much aid has crossed into Gaza is irrelevant” and asserts that the current distribution system “doesn’t work.” The guidance also characterizes the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), an aid initiative created with US and Israeli involvement, as ineffective 

They also instructed BBC staff to refer to “mounting evidence” of starvation and fatalities near aid distribution centers.

The memo reportedly compares the current GHF-led aid distribution model unfavorably to the previous United Nations system. According to GHF sources, the current model incorporates military oversight, GPS tracking, and on-site security and medical staff. It has reported a zero diversion rate for aid.”

Despite the unbelievable amounts of videos and evidence of Hamas stealing UN aid, for the BBC that is simply not worth mentioning. 

Of course, BBC’s goal is to make sure the UN can get their claws back into the aid process so that Hamas can restock and make those pesky Jews suffer more.  

Seemingly in lockstep with the BBC is the New York Times.

Isabel Kershner, along with definitely “unbiased” authors, Rawan Sheikh Ahmad, and Abu Bakr Bashir, wrote an article claiming that the evil Jews are starving children. They even shared a photo of poor Mohammed Zakaria al-Mutawaq who is starving, and you can even see how terrible he looks. 

Except for the inconvenient fact that he isn’t starving. Mohammed has a genetic condition that makes him look emaciated. The rest of his family looks fine. Unsurprisingly the NY Times made the quietest possible correction they could after the Israeli government stepped in.

The New York Times did once again what they do best, blood libel the Jews.  

Meanwhile, Aaron Boxerman, their Jerusalem bureau chief, recently released an article discussing Evyatar’s fate.

What was fascinating was that he didn’t include a photo of Evyatar being emaciated. The New York Times chose not to show the video of Evyatar being forced to dig his own grave. 

You see, that would challenge the blood libel narrative. 

Respect to Aaron for having the chutzpah to work for the New York Times and walk around the Jewish capital with no shame. 

In every generation the Jewish people have new foes that would have us decimated. 

Today we face the radical left, woke right and unfortunately much of the Muslim world. 

In Britain in 2024, the baby name that gained the most in popularity was Yahya. The name was chosen by many British Muslim parents to honor the perpetrator of October 7th and former head of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar.

Evyatar and Israel have been the victims of a pogrom, blood libels, and if our adversaries had the chance, another Holocaust. The Hamas charter says as much. 

On this Tisha B’av, for the first time in my life, I understand the tragedy and gravity of the day.

However, unlike with the destruction of the Temple, the Inquisition and the Holocaust, we are not helpless. 

We have a State, the best security services in the world, and many good friends who want the best for us. 

Therefore, to our very dear American friends I address this: do not be conned by the likes of the NY Times and the BBC that have mercilessly lied about President Trump.  Do not play into the hands of Hamas. Do not give our adversaries a lifeline because of blood libels. 

If there is an aid problem then expand the GHF. Any new project has hiccups, but the GHF is critical. 

Hamas is on their last legs and like always is using the civilian population they represent and abuse as a shield and weapon. 

Hamas is torturing Evyatar and all of the hostages, and refuses to negotiate an agreement.
