Progressive Purity Test

Back in June of this year, a video emerged of a guy in New York City shouting on a packed subway car, “Repeat after me! Raise your hands if you’re a Zionist! This is your chance to get out!” Many in the crowd loudly repeated his statements like enraptured zombies. Many were masked. Many were wearing keffiyehs. More haunting was the fact that many were silent.

A bone chilling and clear example of the generational question, what would you have done during Nazi Germany when Jews were terrorized, brutalized, forcibly deported and murdered? Most of you would have sat quietly in terror like many people on that subway car. 

All you progressives who have staunchly self-identified as someone who stands up for human rights would have failed miserably. Your own fear for survival or not wanting negative attention directed towards you makes you silent, makes you weak, and makes you betray your core values.

Since October 7, 2023, it has felt a lot like that 1978 movie remake called Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Everyone looks the same but they don’t act the same. So called radical feminists who marched in the streets during the ’90s with me to ‘take back the night’  from violence against women, all of the sudden became very vocal rape apologists for Hamas. Say out loud that you support Israel, or just ride the subway with a yarmulke on and you become a pariah and a target.

The same people who declare land acknowledgements in social justice circles on North American college campuses would rather choke on their words over admitting that Jews have lived in Israel for almost 4,000 years. In 1948, Jews RE-established Israel after 2,000 years of colonization, genocide, and yes, apartheid in the region. You have been brainwashed.

The Islamic Republic of Iran who murders women for not covering their hair is delighted with all the Jew-haters in Western academia, politics, and culture. And for all the progressives who pledge fealty to the global intifada, remember that you are an extension of what Hitler and Al-Husseini wanted to happen in the region during WWII. You are a fascist echoing a brutal regime’s only other export besides oil.
