Save a Jewish Soul or two by being a nicer person
Judaism is not a religion, is unlike Christianity and Islam. Judaism advocates a life committed to being good, special, giving, and exemplary.
Jews are not a faith community. We are a Nation with a unique history, traditions, cuisine, culture, and, as part of that, a language and spirituality.
Our G^d is not a moody idol that must be appeased as we find in religions. Our G^d loves us and is very close and connected to us.
The problem we need to fix is that, under siege of Gentiles, we’ve turned against each other with baseless hatred and divisiveness for millennia.
When an earthquake or hurricane looms, we need to pray to G^d. But when Antisemites abuse us, we as Jews must treat each other better.
Two thousand years of assimilation makes even some rabbis talk as if we need to appease G^d now. No! We only need to treat other people better.
And especially end the divisiveness among us, even when we ‘are right.’
The time is now.
Tens of thousands of holy soldiers are about to enter Gaza, risking their lives defending Jews against Holocaust II. Stand by them by being nicer.
This Shabbat, we read the Creation Story of the world and humanity. All grownups have eaten, so to speak, from the Tree Telling Us the Difference Between Good and Evil. May we all soon more act like it.
