Sheldon is hurting

What is going on between Elon Musk and Donald Trump?

At first I thought it was some kind of Psycho-op, a World Wrestling Federation staged match.

Now, I am not so sure.

Musk is like Sheldon Cooper the star of the hit television series, The Big Bang Theory about four nerd Caltech scientists having to deal with others, relationships, the world. Sheldon, whose only incongruous bow to humanhood is offering someone a cup of tea when he recognizes they “are upset”, can dish it out but can’t take it. When overloaded, he takes flight.

Musk’s identity as an Einstein-like scientist IS his life.

He doesn’t have resorts, golf, lots of gilt to distract him.

He is proud of his ascetic lifestyle.

Both Musk and Trump have accomplished extraordinary things in a short period of time.

Their public bickering is damaging to the nation.

Hyperbole and hatred have led to two assassination attempts, the murders of an insurance executive and embassy employees, firebombing of elderly marchers.

We are currently witnessing a self-described “progressive-socialist” who has declared (with no push-back) that Israel denies its Arab citizens full civil rights and promotes a Greta Thunberg view of the Middle East, run for the Democratic nomination for New York City mayor. Some elected representatives are calling ICE agents “Nazis” and are threatening to expose their identities. We have profound antisemitism on college campuses, waste of national assets and riots in Los Angeles.

Hello, Elon, may we offer you a cup of tea?
