Susiya: A Photo Essay

These photos are from the protest at Susiya on Friday, July 24, 2015. My goal in taking these pictures was twofold. I wanted to document the protest, as well as the diverse population (Israelis, Palestinians and Internationals) who came to show support and solidarity to the people of Susiya, which is set to be demolished in coming days or weeks. I also wanted to give context to where Susiya lies, in the heart of area C (which is Israeli controlled). The pictures of Area C and the protest are, therefore, intertwined.

You can also read why I decided to join the protest at Susiya, or learn more about the current situation.
