Terror Ignored, Jews Targeted

The day after the deadly terror attack in Jerusalem, where Palestinian gunmen opened fire at a crowded bus stop, murdering six, including a foreign citizen, and injuring dozens more, sadness turned swiftly into rage. Rage not just at the killers, but at the deafening silence of a world that seems to value Jewish blood less than any other.

Where are the images flooding global headlines? Where are the impassioned op-eds and solidarity marches that appear instantly whenever Palestinians are harmed, whether by war they themselves provoke or by their own leaders’ corruption? Once again, Israeli Jews are slaughtered in cold blood, and the world shrugs.

When people in Gaza die, tragically but inevitably in wars they cheer on, their faces are plastered across every news channel. But when Jewish children are blown up, stabbed, or gunned down in Israel? Suddenly, context is demanded. Suddenly, excuses are found. Suddenly, silence reigns. The message is clear: Jewish blood is cheap.

And yet, terrorism is rewarded. Instead of demanding accountability from Hamas or the Palestinian Authority, the international community doubles down, recognizing a Palestinian state, boycotting Israeli products, expelling Israeli academics from universities. Terrorists are emboldened by the knowledge that every bullet they fire at a Jew brings them closer to international legitimacy.

This is not new. We are living through a moral collapse that eerily echoes the 1930s, when the world looked away as Jews were targeted. Back then, Europe’s streets echoed with indifference as Jews were beaten, humiliated, and ultimately annihilated. Today, much of the world looks away again as Jews are murdered, this time in the streets of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Paris, New York, and Los Angeles.

October 7, 2023: The Day Everything Changed

On October 7th, 2023, Hamas launched the deadliest single attack on Jews since the Holocaust. Over 1,200 Israelis, men, women, children, even infants, were massacred in their homes, on their streets, at a music festival. Thousands more were injured. Hundreds were kidnapped into Gaza.

The atrocities were filmed proudly by the perpetrators themselves, proof of the barbarity, proof of intent. The world cannot say “we didn’t know.”

But what has followed since October 7th has been an unrelenting campaign of terror. From stabbings in Jerusalem, to shootings in Judea and Samaria, to rockets fired from Lebanon and Yemen, the attacks have never stopped.

The Numbers the World Ignores

According to Israel National News, by April 2025, 934 people had been killed in terror attacks since October 7th, 2023. Let that sink in: nearly a thousand dead in less than two years. That number does not include the thousands wounded, the lives permanently shattered.

Between October 2023 and January 2024 alone, 2,600 terror incidents were documented, rock-throwing, Molotov cocktails, shootings, car-rammings. In all of 2024, there were over 6,300 attacks in Judea and Samaria. Twenty-seven Israelis were killed, more than 300 wounded, and countless more traumatized.

These are not statistics. They are mothers who will never see their sons again, children who will grow up without fathers, communities left in perpetual mourning.

Major Attacks Since October 7

  • Tunnels Checkpoint, November 16, 2023: Three Hamas militants opened fire on soldiers and civilians near Jerusalem, killing one and injuring five.
  • Route 55 Shooting, January 6, 2025: Palestinian gunmen murdered three Israelis in cold blood on a West Bank highway.
  • Jerusalem Bus Stop, September 8, 2025: The Ramot Junction massacre, where six people were gunned down waiting for public transport.

And these are just the large-scale attacks. The daily “smaller” assaults, stones, knives, firebombs, rarely make headlines, but they terrorize entire communities.

Diaspora Jews Are Not Safe Either

This wave of violence is not confined to Israel. Since October 7th, Jews around the world have been attacked in London, Paris, Berlin, Los Angeles, and Sydney. Synagogues are defaced. Jewish schools require police protection. Jewish students on Western campuses are harassed and beaten simply for being Jewish.

Anti-Semitism, dressed up as “anti-Zionism,” has become socially acceptable. The slogan “From the river to the sea” is not a call for peace, it is a genocidal demand for the eradication of Israel. And yet it is chanted freely in capitals across the West.

The Moral Compass Is Broken

When terrorists are glorified, when murderers are excused, when Jews are blamed for their own slaughter, humanity’s moral compass is shattered. The world is rewarding terror, just as it once rewarded appeasement. And appeasement then, as now, only guarantees more bloodshed.

This is why we must change the narrative. For the sake of our children, for the sake of the future, we must confront lies with truth. Israel is not an apartheid state, it is a democracy fighting for survival against jihadist death cults. Terrorists are not “resistance fighters”, they are murderers of innocents.

The choice is clear. Either we stand with Israel, or we stand with terror. Either we learn from history, or we repeat it.

The blood of innocent Israelis must never again be ignored.

About the Author
CEO of Time to Stand Up for Israel, a nonprofit organization with a powerful mission: to support Israel and amplify its voice around the world. With over 200,000 followers across various social media platforms, our community is united by a shared love for Israel and a deep commitment to her future. My journey as an advocate for Israel began early. When I was 11 years old, my father was deployed to the Middle East through his work with UNTSO. I had the unique experience of living in both Syria and Israel, and from a young age, I witnessed firsthand the contrast in cultures and realities. That experience shaped me profoundly. Returning to the Netherlands, I quickly became aware of the growing wave of anti-Israel sentiment — and I knew I had to speak out. Ever since, I’ve been a fierce and unapologetic supporter of Israel. I’m not religious, but my belief is clear and unwavering: Israel has the right to exist, and Israel has the duty to defend herself. My passion is rooted in truth, love, and justice. I’m a true Zionist at heart. From my first breath to my last, I will stand up for Israel.
