How they rewrite the Holocaust for its Remembrance Day
The BBC and NOS are infamous for their ‘anti-Zionist’ distortions of the news that they are paid to bring with neutrality and professionalism. Daily, they serve Chamas propaganda, but they’re not anti-Jewish? Their International Holocaust Memorial Day programming reveals the truth.
1. The BBC, every year, simply refuses to let on that the mass murder of ‘six million people’ had anything to do with Jews or Jew-hatred.
2. The NOS is no copycat. It has its own style of rewriting history, both on the international date and the national Holocaust commemoration.
You must know that the work of the Dutch technicians borders on perfection. Amazing camera work, perfect timing and sequence of in-depth items, and interviews by a sensitive reporter—probably the only non-Antisemite there because it’s always the same journalist. Only, last year they carried comments by an ignorant historian—not their fault.
The NOS does mention the mass murder of Jews but suddenly needs to pay attention to the Resistance fighters. They don’t even mention they were a brave but tiny minority. Most of the Dutch did nothing. And not a few actively supported the Nazi occupier as Dutch fascists or SS troops.
This year’s international-date commemoration in Amsterdam was no exception. The speeches by the Jews were fierce about how Jews were rounded up at unbelievable speed and scale but also about Jews no longer feeling safe in Amsterdam now. The only contrast was the Woke Mayor of Amsterdam, known for her self-proclaimed empathy for everyone, who shockingly failed to condemn or even acknowledge the current disabling Jew-hatred in the Netherlands and especially her city.
I found the worst was that, suddenly, Dutch Nazi complicity was erased:
* The Dutch government that in the 30s closed the borders to Jewish refugees from Germany and decreed that any who did enter had to go to Westerbork—and not a camp near the queen’s country house;
* The same queen who was perfectly happy for the Nazi song to be sung at her daughter Juliana’s 1937 wedding in the Hague to a closeted Nazi, who refused to permit the blowing up of the railway lines to save the Jews because you can’t make everyone (and the rich) suffer just to serve a minority, or who would not help Jewish foster children to return to Jewish circles when their war protectors refused to hand them over;
* The Nazi mayors and police officers, the complicit tram and train staff;
* The civil servants who surprised Hitler with their speed and precision;
* Only 10% of the Dutch persecuted Jews survived;
* The NOS May 5th Liberation edition of 5 years ago doesn’t even mention any of the 110,000 deported Jews but lies: #jewspersecution.
* Most of the Dutch were prosecuted after the war not for aiding monsters and genocide but for ‘betraying the country.’
* The private citizens who looked away or, after the war, let the few returning survivors clearly know and feel they were unwelcome;
* The Dutch passport from 1994 had visa pages with Dutch history illustrations. About WWII, it mentioned the 1940 bombardment on Rotterdam but was numb about the genocide on the Dutch Jews; or
* The lies about Israel broadcast for decades daily on the NOS.
This is worse than Holocaust denial, which, since 2024, is a legal offense in the Netherlands. It simply denies the complicity of most of the Dutch.
At the Amsterdam Holocaust Museum opening on March 10, 2025, their NOS youth news reporter equated the Holocaust with ‘Israel’s murder of so many people in Gaza.’ I kid you not. He interviewed demonstrating children for ‘the murdered children in Gaza.’ It did not show the Jewish kid that was screamed at by the demonstrators or any Jewish child. It did not tell the kids that in German and Dutch was chanted ‘Jews f*** off.’ It did not talk about the Holocaust. Their chutzpah is unequaled.
In sharp contrast stand the belated but moving admissions of guilt and apologies by the King and former PM Rutte at the 2020 commemoration.
Holocaust education is obligatory in the Netherlands. Everyone knows that there are many teachers who won’t teach this for fear for their lives! However, the Dutch Minister of Education doesn’t even know this.
In related news, the Pope just asked ‘the Almighty for the gift of a world with no more antisemitism and with no more prejudice, oppression, or persecution of any human being.’ Did you spot the two glaring mistakes?
1) Why can one not ask for a world without Jew-hatred without adding all other hatreds in one breath? This intelligent man, a successor to Hitler’s Pope, should know better. 2) Why ask G^d? Why not command every Roman Catholic, Christian, and human being to fight Jew-hatred so well that it ends in one week forever and disappears like smallpox did?

Like most of his readers, he believes in being friendly, respectful, and loyal. However, if you think those are his absolute top priorities, you might end up disappointed. This short list doesn't mean to disrespect others who taught him a lot or a little. One of his rabbis calls him Mr. Innovation [Ish haChidushim]. Yet, his originalities seem to root deeply in traditional Judaism, though they may grow in unexpected directions. In fact, he claims he's modernizing nothing. Rather, mainly basing himself on the basic Hebrew Torah text, he tries to rediscover classical Jewish thought almost lost in thousands of years of stifling Gentile domination and Jewish assimilation.
