The Case of the Hidden Daughter

Very few people anywhere are familiar with the name Noa Roth, an ultra-Orthodox Jewish woman who lives with her husband and their three children in the Mea Shearim section of Jerusalem.

She was born to her mother, Miriam Weizman, the first wife of Binyamin Netanyahu.

Yes! Noa is the first-born child and only daughter of prime minister Netanyahu. She is his hidden daughter, the one he almost never sees. He is the grandfather of her three children whom he never sees. They have almost never seen their grandfather.

On the extremely rare times, once every few years, while living in the same city, Netanyahu sees his daughter Noa in a discreet hidden cafe where they are not recognized as father and daughter.

When his first wife, Miriam, was pregnant, Bibi was having an affair with a British Christian fellow student whom he met in the university library while studying at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.)

When Miriam learned of his extra-marital affair she divorced Bibi. He then later married his Christian lover, Fleur Cates, who agreed to convert to Judaism.

When his first child, Noa Netanyahu was born, he did not go to see her in the hospital. The divorce from Miriam included a divorce from baby Noa.

Bibi’s sexual appetite led him to pursue other affairs with other young women. He maintained a “friendship” with an Italian-American lady for 20 years.

Finally finding out his secret relations with other women, his second wife divorced him. They had no children together.

Shortly thereafter, he met his third-to-be wife Sara Ben-Artzi who was a stewardess on an El-Al plane on which he was a passenger. She “invited” him to use a bathroom on the flight on which his first son, a big mistake, Yair was conceived, so it is believed..

No one actually knows what weapon Sara holds over him to keep him away from other women, It is noticeable that he is never permitted to travel without her being with him. She is by his side from the moment they board their outbound flight until they return to Israel, always holding hands for the press.

The saddest part of his extra-marital relations is his separation from his only daughter, his first born Noa.

It is a terribly sad story of a father who has a hidden daughter and three grandchildren with whom he has no contact whatsoever.

Yair and Avner have a sister whom they do not know and almost never see. The common rumor, and it is only rumor but has the sniff of truth, is that Sara does not allow Bibi to maintain contact with his daughter for fear that she might convince him to include her in his Will or to provide monetary gifts to his three grandchildren, allegedly taking away money intended for Sara’s two sons.

It is only speculation but those whom I knew as respected journalists in Jerusalem were convinced of it.

As a father of three, a daughter, a son and another daughter, it is unthinkable to me that any father could abandon his child, could deny his grandchildren, could refuse to share his love with them.

But being aware of Bibi Netanyahu’s immense great ego, he only is #1; Sara and Yair and Avner follow in numerical succession.

But Noa Netanyahu Roth, the religiously observant # 1 child remains hidden and ignored.

It would be of much interest to the reading public if she would write a book from her own perspective.

What proper exciting title could she give it?

Perhaps “My Life As a Hidden and Unwanted Child of the Prime Minister”.

If Steimatzky sells it, I’ll stand in line to buy the first copy. The story of a disgraced Jewish father., a corrupt indicted criminal. The # 1 disgrace to Israel and to our Israeli history. He must go, taking Sara and Yair with him.

Noa. as a religious woman cannot demonstrate joy at the fall of her disgraced father. But who knows the emotions deep in her heart?

To all our people, best wishes for a chatima tovah and an easy but meaningful Fast on Yom Kippur. Amen.
