Reclaiming the True Palestinian Heritage

For over 3,000 years, the land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea has been known as the Land of Israel. However, during the Roman occupation, the name “Palestina” was imposed to erase Jewish identity and sever the Jewish people’s connection to their ancestral homeland. Yet, for centuries, the term “Palestinian” referred exclusively to the Jewish population living in the land. Jewish newspapers were Palestinian, Jewish businesses were Palestinian, and even the Jewish community’s soccer (football) team competed as Palestinians.

1. Jews Were the Original Palestinians

Before the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, the Jewish people proudly identified as Palestinians. The Jewish community in the land was known as Palestinian Jews. Meanwhile, the Arab population rejected this identity, instead identifying as Arabs from Greater Syria.

It was only after the Arab defeat in the Six-Day War of 1967, and after Yasser Arafat joined the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) — an invention of the Soviet KGB — that the term “Palestinian” was hijacked and repurposed as a tool of anti-Zionist propaganda. This manufactured identity was designed to delegitimize the Jewish State and erase Jewish history.

2. The Arab Colonization of Palestine

The undocumented Arab population that today falsely claims to be “Palestinian” are, in fact, descendants of Arab settlers who migrated to the land during the Ottoman Empire and the British Mandate period. They came from Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and other parts of the Arab world.

These people never called themselves “Palestinians” until the 1960s, when the term was weaponized against the Jewish State to fabricate an artificial national identity.

From a historical and legal perspective, they are:
❌ “Undocumented Arab settlers in Israeli Palestine”
❌ “Palestinian impostors”
❌ “Colonizers who stole Jewish identity”

​3. Reclaiming the Palestinian Narrative

The time has come to reclaim the term “Palestinian” as part of Jewish and Israeli heritage and expose the greatest identity theft in modern history.

• Jews are the original Palestinians.
• All loyal citizens of Israel — Jews, Druze, Christians, Muslims, Bedouins, and others — are Israeli Palestinians.
• Immigrants who made Aliyah from around the world — Russian, American, French, Ethiopian, Yemeni, Persian, Moroccan, etc. — are proud Palestinians, because Palestine is Israel.
• Druze, Christians, Muslims, Bedouins, and all those who defend and build the State of Israel are True Palestinian patriots.

The anti-Zionist Arab settlers who falsely claim this title must be stripped of this stolen identity.

4. Ending the Arab Hijacking of Jewish Symbols

• The slogan “Free Palestine” was first used by Jews in the 1930s in the fight against British colonial rule and later against the invading Arab armies during Israel’s War of Independence.
• Today, it is being cynically used by those who seek to destroy the only free and democratic state in the Middle East, where Jews, Arabs, Christians, Druze, and all loyal citizens live as free and equal citizens under the rule of law — the State of Israel.
• The iconic phrase “Ein Li Eretz Acheret” (I have no other country) was originally used by Israeli Jews to express their deep connection to the land of Israel. Recently, it was stolen and weaponized in an antisemitic propaganda film that won an Oscar.
• The very name “Palestinian” was proudly held by Jews long before the Arab settlers appropriated it in the 1960s.
  ✅ The Jewish newspaper was “The Palestine Post” (now The Jerusalem Post).
  ✅ The Jewish symphony orchestra was called “The Palestine Orchestra” (now the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra).

​5. The Path Forward

✅ The State of Israel must officially reclaim the name “Palestine” as part of Jewish history.

✅ The term “Palestinian” must be legally recognized as a Jewish and Israeli identity, stolen and distorted by anti-Zionist Arab propaganda.

✅ Israeli citizens of all backgrounds should proudly identify as “Israeli Palestinians.”

✅ International institutions must be challenged for allowing this historical fraud to spread.

✅ We must educate the world and correct the false narrative that has been poisoning global discourse for decades.
