The Red Cross Loves (Dead) Jews
Dara Horn, an award winning author, penned a recent book entitled “People Love Dead Jews.” A provocative, yet stunningly accurate, title. The world loves to eulogize Jewish victims but stands mute, at best, regarding the trials and tribulations of living breathing Am Yisrael.
No international organization could better epitomize this book title than the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
To the horror and pain of the Jewish world, the dead members of the Bibas family are coming home. The Red Cross issued an official statement calling for a “private and dignified handover” of the Bibas family. They are so deeply concerned for the privacy and dignity of dead Jews. What about the “privacy and dignity” of the living hostages that were subject to hordes of bloodthirsty Gazans swarming Red Cross vehicles during the last hostage release? Or the grotesque photo ops of hostages being given “gift bags” and forced to smile and wave? And most importantly, how about the fact that the Red Cross showed tremendous concern over terrorist “detainees” (their exact words) along with hostages in the same statement ? Here is an exact quote from their website…“Israel and the occupied territories: ICRC facilitates release of three hostages and 174 detainees”. Detainees? These are mass murdering terrorists, the epitome of evil, and the ICRC equates them with the hostages? This is a depraved and sickening use of the English language to equivocate the two.
And of course let’s never forget that the ICRC never once has visited the hostages, and never even attempted to do so, seemingly under the pretext of danger, or that Hamas would “not allow it. “
The ICRC proved its anti Jewish bonafides during WWII when it did nothing to aid Jews during the Shoah. In fact, after the war, the ICRC was instrumental in helping Nazi officers and other high ranking Germans to escape to South America and beyond.
The ICRC has proven time and again during their existence overt hostility and inaction regarding living Jews, but is oh so concerned for the dignity and privacy of the dead ones. The Red Cross loves dead Jews. Some things never change.
