The second death of Hamas and the coming of Mahdi

At the 7^th of October a big human tragedy happened: cunningly using the Jewish Festival Simchat Torah, murderers from HAMAS fired more than 5000 rockets, killed a thousand innocent people, destroyed tens of buildings and performed horrible unhuman acts in Israel! By doing so they committed their own Second Death! In general, the first death occurs when the people leave their physical bodies on Earth and ascend, in accordance with their karma, to the transcendent worlds. The Second Dearth however occurs when the people, cut the link between their horrible ego- personalities on Earth with their own Souls remaining in the spiritual worlds. To lose the umbilical cord with your Soul is the greatest tragedy on Earth. These ‘people’ are excluded from human evolution on Earth and continue their ‘existence’ on a much low unhuman level in reality. Obviously, the murderers from Hamas underwent their second death  performing such horrible, despicable acts.

Now we are at the End of Time and at the beginning of the new Heavenly-Jerusalem cosmic cycle! Some main features of the new cycle are described in my previous Posts. In accordance with the Holy Scriptures, in the new cosmic cycle will enter only the righteous people. For instance, in the Book of Revelation St. John states (22:14-15): Blessed are they who wash their robes so as to have the right to the tree of life and enter the city^[i] through its gates. ¹⁵ Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the unchaste, the murderers, the idol-worshipers, and all who love and practice deceit. Obviously, the murderers from Hamas will never be able  to enter into the Heavenly Jerusalem, except if they do not restore the link with their souls over millennia.

As to the Israeli people, they have to defend themselves, to search for a peaceful solution to the conflict and to start  their Exodus to the higher spiritual worlds, giving example to the rest of the world.  Judaism, Islam and Christianity are Abrahamic monotheistic religions and their followers could ascend to the reality of the Heavenly Jerusalem together. In my Post, Exodus and the Rainbow of the New Covenant, from November 10, 2022, I traced the journey to the higher worlds from a Kabbalistic perspective. At  its base is the legendary Jacob’s Ladder. Now, in this Post, I will describe this journey from an Islamic perspective. In another Post, I will also introduce the Christian path to the higher worlds. In the new Heavenly-Jerusalem cosmic cycle we will ascend altogether to the reality of the Holy City, will meet the Divine Masters, Founders of all world religions, the Personifications of the Divine Feminine, and will co-create with them forever!

Meanwhile, let me make a short expose of the Islamic tradition in order to show the incredible beauty and richness of this tradition, which have nothing to do with the barbarians acts of Hamas, Hezbollah and other terrorist organisations. I am sure that more than a billion of Muslims all over the world will appreciate the following ideas and instead of fight and war we could go altogether towards the higher worlds, preparing to meet the coming of Messiah, Imam Mahdi and other Divine Masters.

In my previous Posts I shared, with great appreciation and inspiration,  a lot of ideas from Judaism and Kabbalah about our epoch of the End of Time, the coming of the Messiah and the emerging new Heavenly-Jerusalem cosmic cycle.  Below I will share, with similar appreciation and inspiration,  some metaphysical ideas from Islam about the End of Time, the Reappearance of Imam Mahdi and the coming New Reality! 

Imam Mahdi as the Axis Mundi

The eschatological dimension of Islam is very rich and highly developed. Their conceptions of the Events of the Hereafter, the End of Time, the New Coming, the Day of Judgment and the Day of Resurrection play a very important role in the Islamic faith and have been discussed throughout its history. I will quote, for instance, the inspiring book, Inner Secrets of the Path, written by the great fourteenth century Initiate, Sayyid Haydar Amuli. In the chapter Events of the Hereafter he discusses twelve days of resurrection:

Know that the Day of Judgment, in an absolute sense, denotes the return of the world and all contained therein to whence it came.  This return is both with respect to the form and the inner meaning or spirit and also in relation to the three different levels of resurrection – that is the minor, the intermediary and the final. Moreover, they all take place at either a cosmic or an individual dimension; all told this amounts to a total of twelve separate days of resurrection. (Sayyid Haydar Amuli, Inner Secrets of the Path, Element Books, 1989, p. 126)

This chapter,  as the whole book as well, is a priceless pearl of Gnostic knowledge reflecting the richness and depths of the Islamic eschatology. In my book The Second Coming, describing the Nine-Fold Rainbow Path, in line with the text from various world religions clarifying the Steps, I included many important key ideas from the Islamic Tradition. One such inclusion, for which I have great appreciation, is the prophesy of the Reappearance of Imam Mahdi.

The Reappearance of Imam Mahdi

In Islam one starts with Islamic law, Sharia, the exoteric or mundane practice of Islam. Then the person is initiated into the mystical path of tariqah. Through spiritual practices and guidance of  tariqah, the aspirant seeks ḥaqīqah – ultimate truth. The fourth station, marifa, which is considered ‘unseen’, is actually the centre of the haqiqah region. It’s the essence of all four stations.

In our time Imam Mahdi is in major occultation which still endures: During this time, according to the Shi’ah, the Mahdi is alive but invisible. He is the Axis Mundi, the invisible ruler of the Universe. Before the end of time he will appear again on earth to bring equity and justice and to fill it with peace after it has been torn by war and injustice. The Mahdi is an ever-living spiritual being who guides in the spiritual path those who ask him and whose succour all the devout ask in their daily prayers. He who is spiritually qualified is, in fact, in inner contact with the Mahdi. (Seyyed Hossein Nasr, Ideals and Realities of Islam, Mandala, Unwin Hyman Ltd., 1988, p. 166). I am happy to share that ascending through the Axis Mundi of the Universe, I established a strong inner contact with Imam Mahdi!

In the Summer Rila Assemblies, our gatherings consecrated to the Islamic Tradition and the mystical link with Imam Mahdi, included  Programmes  for connection with the Islamic community in appreciation of::

– The Five Pillars of Islam (Prayer, Fasting, Zakät, Hajj and Jihad);

– Embarking on a pilgrimage to the celestial worlds called Gardens (Garden of the Senses, Garden of the Soul, Garden of the Spirit, Garden of Witnessing, Garden of Actions, Garden of the Attributes and Garden of the Essence (Sayyid Haydar Amuli, Inner Secrets of the Path, Element Books);

– Ascending through these Gardens by performing right actions and appreciating ’the seven most fundamental qualities which are gnosis, wisdom, forbearance, humility, generosity, chastity and courage’. (Ibid., p. 142)

This Programme involved mystical contact with Imam Mahdi, as the Axis Mundi of the world, with prayers to him to lead us on the great journey of the Spirit, passing through the stations of consciousness sharia, tariqah, haqiqah and marifa towards the ultimate. Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan al-Mahdī (Arabic: محمد بن الحسن المهدي) is believed by the Twelver Shia to be the last of the Twelve Imams and the eschatological Mahdi, who will emerge in the end of time to establish peace and justice and redeem Islam.

Imam Mahdi, up to now in occultation, will reveal himself mystically as the Axis Mundi of the world and will lead the followers on an inspiring spiritual journey (following the pattern of the Night Journey of Muhammad) through the whole vertical structure of Creation up to the ultimate Garden of Essence: The Garden of the Essence is the station of unveiling of the Essence of Reality… There is nothing in existence but Allah, His Names and His Actions; all is Him, by Him, from Him and to Him. This Garden is reserved for those who affirm the Oneness of Allah and who, by means of their tawhid, rise above any witnessing of otherness. (Source: Sayyid Haydar Amuli, Inner Secrets of the Path, Element Books, Dorset, 1989, p. 153, 155)

Symbolically, by ascending to the Garden of the Essence led by Imam Mahdi as the Axis Mundi of the Universe, we would follow in the steps of the Prophet Muhammad Himself (peace be upon him) during his Night Journey. Then, when we reach the Garden of the Essence we will appreciate in joy and ecstasy the 99 “most beautiful Names” of Allah! The 99 Divine names of God are attributes of the Absolute Truth, of the One Who Is and in Whom we Are!

If our metaphysical journey, guided by Imam Mahdi, is successful, we would restore the Axis Mundi in our consciousness. This spiritual action will be the restoring the essence of the Human Being created as an image of God! This is the event of the ‘Great Resurrection’ (qiyamat al-qiyamah), upon which man and his celestial prototype are re-instated in their original condition. Thus, through the prophets and imams the purpose of creation is fulfilled and man regains the state that he lost through his own negligence. (Seyyed Hossein Nasr, Ideals and Realities of Islam, Mandala, Unwin Hyman Ltd., 1988, p.170-171) As a result, we will enter into the Divine Reality described in the Koran with the words: There Allah shines smilingly!

Dear Friends! We are approaching the End of Time and we have to prepare to meet the Coming of the Messiah and the Reappearance of Imam Mahdi! In essence, my published forty four Posts up to now, are like an Initiation into the Coming of the Messiah! This Initiation has to be substantiated by glorious deeds, so that the Messiah himself will come into the world!

As to our Muslim Brothers and Sisters, they have to follow the advice of the quoted above great Initiate from the 14th Century, Sayyid Haydar Amuli: When the soul or self devotes its energy to true spiritual exercises which are based on real knowledge, then the person loses all of the viler features of his self – in particular, the seven most fundamental of them, namely vanity, arrogance, miserliness, envy, cupidity, excessive desire and anger – and takes on all of the finer qualities – in  particular, the seven most fundamental of these, namely,  gnosis, wisdom, forbearance, humility, generosity, chastity and courage’ (p. 142). Then, and only then,  the  Reappearance of Imam  Mahdi will be observed!

May Peace prevail in the Middle East! May never again  the Second Death happen! May Jew and Muslims ascend together to the higher spiritual worlds! So, be it! Amen!
