The majority of the General Assembly, not the aggressor’s propaganda, decide if a war was begun defensively or aggressively
The UN was formed to have diplomacy prevent and replace armed conflict. Yet, since WW II, we communicate at the touch of a button with anywhere on the globe. We don’t need everyone’s diplomats to huddle in one spot.
What’s more, it simply doesn’t work.
We see UN, G-20, G-7, G-5, and what-not meetings as grounds to talk about unified strategies, but not for preventing war between parties.
So, we should rethink this. Invaders must be booted from these summits, including the UN Security Council. Meetings help to realize unified action, but not, to prevent violence. Aggressors have no right to be part of the community of nations. Once allied forces and international boycotts have proven to be invincible, the attacker will come in to negotiate peace.
Ejecting Russia now would send a clear warning to China (Taiwan hunger) and Iran (global ambitions). Chatting in the UN does nothing, and veto power in their hands is wholly unhelpful.
