They’ve cooked us like frogs!

The well known story says that if you put a living frog in a pot of boiling water, it will jump out. But if you put it in the pot of water and slowly increase the temperature, you will have a cooked frog. We’re the frogs who got cooked.

Why did we get so used to their missiles falling on the South for so many years? Was it acceptable for them to keep shooting missiles at us just because we have the Iron Dome? For years they’ve tried to kill us and hurt us and we’ve only weakened them, unable to completely destroy a well recognized terrorist organization.

Their missiles could first only reach the south, now they’re frequenting the center in this war. Well, surprise, they’re now reaching the North too! We have underestimated our enemy and their power of human will. After every battle with us, they too have learnt and improvised. They’ve improvised their weaponry and their offensive tactics which finally lead to massacre of our people.

Why didn’t we destroy Hamas in 2005? We’ve given Hamas enough time to gain legitimacy, gain enough friends in the middle east and world over, gain the ability to spread hatred in US universities and create strong influence on social media. Are we waiting for them to join the UN too like the Taliban did in Afghanistan? We waited for the baby snake to become all poisonous until its sting became deadly. After every operation, Israeli politics and the IDF talked about weakening Hamas, Hezbollah and the Islamic Jihad. So they can learn from their mistakes and hit us harder the next time? Hamas succeeded in giving us a vital blow on 7th Oct, 2023. Hezbollah now is stronger than even with a stockpile of 150,000 missiles as we failed to destroy them in 2000 and 2006. Even now we are only talking about eliminating Hamas and not all extremist factions in Gaza.

Which developed country in the world allows missiles to keep falling on their territory for decades? For years, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and all terrorist organizations have been raining missiles on southern Israel and all we did is give a proportionate response (irrespective of whether it was a Republican or a Democrat in power in the US). Today about 2000 missiles have been shot towards Ashkelon with about 180 making a direct hit and so many in the center. Is this gonna continue to be our new reality whether it is in the North, the Gaza envelope or Eilat?

We need to destroy all extremist factions completely. There is no allowing the Hamas leaders to leave Gaza in exchange for stopping the war. Those same Hamas leaders along with Iran’s petrodollars can recreate another enemy for Israel unless Hamas is completely eliminated. The Palestinian education system for generations is built on killing all Jews and wiping out Israel. After defeating Hamas, we need to demilitarize the strip, enforce a correction of their education system and stop their incitement of hatred. Our soldiers are not dying on the front so that we can allow them to continue the path of hatred.  They need to see decades of development, opportunity and non violence. After years, this will create a desire in them to accept our right to exist. To make them stop the violence and start caring about their children more than hating us.
