Israel “Palestinians are an ‘invented’ people who want to destroy Israel.” [Newt Gyngrich , December 10, 2011]
“If Palestine is the Jews’ national home, it is my spiritual home. I could well understand Allenby’s gesture in 1917 when he and his officers walked bareheaded through the gates of Jerusalem. More cruel, more inhuman than persecution and ostracism and the imposition of ghettos and of the yellow badge of shame it would be to keep the door of their home shut in the face of the clamoring multitudes of Israel.” [“DAYS Of OUR YEARS” by Pierre van Paassen, 1939]
As recently as July 14, 2022, Lapid says, “he supports a two -state solution to the Palestinian Conflict”. Responding to a reporter’s question, Lapid said that it is a guarantee for a Jewish and Democratic Israel. [Y Net Breaking News]
“Biden Commits to Two-State Solution based on 1967 borders for first time as President. Speaking in Bethlehem, Biden gave his most direct commitment for a solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, despite having said the conditions on the ground are not ripe for change.” [Haaretz, July 15, 2022].
Earlier on, July 8, 2022, Israel National News [Arutz7] posted Jack Engelhard’s “Biden coming to fix what ain’t broke”. The title speaks volumes and considers what is in place now, to be “as good as it can get.”
“What peace process? For as we know, Hamas is continuously gearing up for the next war, and the PA’s Mahmoud Abbas keeps talking about ‘Palestine’ from the river to the sea.'”
Biden’s remarks given alongside Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah did not directly recognize East Jerusalem as a future Palestinian capital. He did refer to Jerusalem as being “central to the national visions of both Palestinians and Israelis–a city for all its people with holy sites status preserved and Jordan’s continued role as custodian.”
The age old “Two-state equation” was asinine from its very commencement. Only the Jews can claim Indigenous status to the Land of Israel. Archeology alone demonstrates this reality. Arutz 7’s paper,” An uninterrupted Jewish presence in the land of Israel” by Dr. Alex Grobman published on January 29, 2020 provides one form of proof.
The author exposes a popular myth perpetuated by Israel’s enemies that Jews are intruders in the Middle East, who have no historical, legal or religious connection to the Land of Israel and have taken land from the indigenous Arab population. “Nothing can be further from the truth.”
He introduces the subject with reference to notable historian Moshe Gil who informs us that from the destruction of the 2nd Commonwealth by the Romans in 70 CE until the establishment of the modern State of Israel in 1948, Palestine [the name given to the area by the Roman conquerors, with no connection to Arabs or Muslims–nowhere near the area in the former case and as yet non-existent in the latter], was neither a home for any other people, nor even considered a separate geopolitical entity.
Moving forward to the invasion of Palestine in 634, the end of 4 centuries of conflict between Persia and Rome, we learn of direct descendents of Jews, who had lived in the country since the time of Joshua bin Nun, who led the Jews into Canaan. “For 2,000 years, Jews and Christians constituted the majority of the population, while the Bedouins were the ruling class.”
Of particular note, Gil records the accounts of Bar-Sawma, a Christian monk, in providing a significant source of Palestine’s demographics in the Byzantine era. According to Bar-Sawma, heathens and Jews comprised the majority in Palestine, Arabia and Phoenicia, while Christians were still few in number.
Gil also draws attention to an anti-Jewish treatise written at the start of the Muslim invasion of Palestine, suggesting a large number of Jews in Acre and Haifa.
“Debunking the claim that ‘Palestinians’ are the indigenous people of Israel” by Daniel Grynglas”, appeared in the Jerusalem Post of May 12, 2015. The author draws heavily on Joan Peter’s book , “From Time Immemorial”. The named author is emphatic in her proclamation, “There are no records to support the Palestinian narrative.”
The Peel Commission Report of 1937 points to the remarkable increase in the Arab population partly due to the import of Jewish capital into Palestine and other factors associated with the growth of the [Jewish] National Home .
From Page 252 of Peter’s book, “–in the Jewish settlement Rishon LeZion, founded in 1882, by the year 1889, the 40 Jewish families settled there, had attracted more than 400 Arab families–many other Arab villages had sprouted in the same fashion.”
In a simple and incontrovertible way, Peters proved that the vast majority of “Palestinians” are the descendants of the relatively recent Arab immigrants.
Daniel Grynglas’ conclusion: The claim that “Palestinians” are the indigenous people of Israel and that most of the present “Palestinian” Arabs have lived in these lands since time immemorial is a total fraud.
Mort Klein and the ZOA have provided a detailed account of Biden’s pursuits on his Middle East campaign in the promotion of the infamous “two-state” no solution. Indeed, Biden differed greatly from his usual benign posture. His underhand activity demonstrated that in Shimon Peres’s words “a man can change.”
This leading article appeared on July 18, 2022 and was titled, “Biden’s Policies Voiced at Israeli and Palestinian Meetings Demanding Israel Return to ’67 Auschwitz Lines’, End Checkpoints, Open Jerusalem Arab Consulate’s-and More- show Biden’s No Friend to Israel.”
ZOS’s intent was to have other Jewish organizations express their concerns about Biden’s troubling and hostile Israel policies, statements and appointments. Biden once more promoted the lies that Palestinian Arabs Have “Deep and Ancient Roots” in Israel and that Palestinian Arabs are victims and he falsely analogized Palestinian Arabs to Irish Catholics.
What, in fact, Biden brings to mind is the failings of Jewish leaders not harping on Israel’s Indigenous claims to the Land of Israel. That Herzog would award a major undeserved prize to Biden is surely disgusting. One remembers Herzog’s earlier failings which resulted in him being known as the ‘black sheep’ of the outstanding Herzog family.
Bottom line – when will Jewish leaders focus on the Jewish Indigenous claim to the Land of Israel and not focus over vacuous “Palestinian myths”?
