Trump bashes Israel — and the world bashes Trump

Trump is bashing Israel. He invited Turkey and Qatar and Pakistan, without informing Israel — this despite Israel’s previous declaration that they don’t want these countries to join the Gazan Board of Peace.

The question is, why is there even a board of peace for Gaza to begin with? Originally Trump was in favour of allowing Gazans who wanted to move out, to do so. But then that stopped. Trump gained clout, by helping to arrange to free the last 20 living hostages from Gaza. He gained clout by bombing Iran. Now the US wants to rebuild Gaza, institute Palestinian self-governance, and (as the Gaza peace plan states) potentially establish a Palestinian state. Although Israel rejected a Palestinian state, they partly went along with Trump because of the clout that Trump had gained. But now that Trump is injecting Turkey and Qatar and Pakistan into Gaza, Netanyahu is reportedly fuming. But what can he do? In order not to antagonize Trump, Netanyahu told his foreign minister Sa’ar to talk to Rubio about it.

So what can Israel do? Trump seems to be running his own agenda, by bringing in a board of peace. It seems that his intention is to not just use the board of peace for Gaza, but also and mainly to use it as a springboard to compete against the United Nations. Many see this as Trump‘s desire to coordinate peace in the world. And the chairman of the entire board is none other than Trump himself.

So what can you do? At this point it’s possible that Israel doesn’t have to do anything at all. Because, the Trump mechanism seems to be imploding, as the following paragraphs explain.

Trump is starting up with Greenland, and now the EU seems ready to fight back. The thinking was that until now the EU went along with Trump and reached an agreement regarding US tariffs, in order to protect NATO. Europe felt that they needed the US to be part of NATO, in order to defend against Russia.

But now Trump seems ready to go against European nations in Greenland, thus ostensibly ending US cooperation with NATO. Because NATO was an alliance of the US and Europe to defend European sovereignty. But Trump is now threatening that sovereignty.

Thus NATO’s alliance with the US is in jeopardy, and is possibly over. The EU is leaning towards fighting back against the US with economic measures, by imposing tariffs and limiting funding to the US. Macron is trying to rally support for this move. And the potential of the EU agreeing with Macron and fighting big time against the US economically, is now a distinct possibility.

Meanwhile in Minnesota Trump is running into backlash. A judge has issued sweeping orders against ICE, hampering its ability to interfere with protesters. As a result Trump is readying troops to go into Minnesota. Meanwhile the governor of Minnesota has mobilized the National Guard and will possibly move them into the place. Suddenly Trump‘s powers in Minnesota are potentially being greatly curtailed.

What did Trump want to do in Minnesota? What did he want to do in Greenland? It seems that he wanted to do the very thing that he’s now preventing Israel from doing, namely to remove threats, and to improve security. He wanted to go to Greenland for the minerals and oil, but more importantly he wanted to prevent Russia and China from taking over there, and from taking over the Northern Arctic. In Minnesota Trump wanted to remove Somalian radicals and other legal immigrants who, he feels, pose a threat to US security.

Similarly, Israel wanted to remove threats from Gaza. By not giving away land, Israel can prevent what happened on October 7. Trump is hampering Israel’s efforts to eliminate threats to its security, so now Trump is being hampered in his efforts to do the same in order to enhance American security.

G-d told Abraham, that He will bless those who bless Abraham (and visa versa). The way to earn G-d‘s blessings is to help Abraham and his descendants, the children of Israel. Trump has done a lot to support Israel. But now he is engaging in efforts to undermine Israel’s security, and it seems that the Almighty is now orchestrating events to undermine American security, and to undermine Trump‘s efforts to protect America.

The complexity of the situation is fascinating. How is Trump going to influence European leaders to join his board of peace, (including asking nations who want to have permanent status on this board to donate a billion dollars within a year), when he is fighting against European nations in Greenland? Suddenly the board of peace might be imploding right before our eyes. The Almighty works in mysterious ways; but sometimes when we open up our eyes to it, we can perhaps catch a glimpse of possible insights.

Here’s a word of warning to Trump, and to all nations of the world, (including to European nations who are now seeing NATO possibly crumble — thus jeopardizing their security, both militarily and economically). The advice is as ancient as the Bible itself. If you want to open channels to receive G-d‘s blessings, then bless Israel. Don’t hamper Israel‘s efforts to defend itself. Because if you do so, then your own security is in jeopardy.

As we see the amazing miracles of the past two years, how G-d defeated Israel’s enemies so spectacularly and soundly, it inspires and strengthens our optimism that now too, G-d is watching over His chosen nation. The future looks bright. Redemption with Moshiach seems right around the corner.

A time of world peace beckons.

A time when all Jews will be in the holy land of Israel safe and secure, and those who passed away will rise again, and the joy will be tremendous.

May it happen very soon.
