UN-driven antisemitism
Modern antisemitism is fueled by the United Nations, and specifically in the name of human rights. Meeting in Geneva yesterday, March 26, 2025, the UN’s top human rights body made this point by condemning statements against antisemitism while statements promoting antisemitism filled the UN airwaves.
I delivered a statement on behalf of my UN-accredited NGO, the Touro Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust, and at its conclusion the presiding officer – Vice-President Paul Empole Efambe of the Democratic Republic of the Congo – criticized me. In his words, he said the statement used unacceptable language that failed Council standards of tolerance, dignity, and respect.
UN rules meant my remarks, made under the Council’s permanent Israel-bashing agenda item – the only one of its kind – were limited to 90 seconds. This is what I said:
“As the director of a Holocaust and Human Rights Institute, I recognize Holocaust deniers, justifiers and enablers. In the past, Palestinians collaborated with the Nazis. In the present, Palestinians collaborate with the UN to accomplish the same goal: ethnic cleansing of Jews.
How?
One, by perverting language. In January, the UN purported to redefine the Holocaust, to remove the singular focus on the extermination of Jews.
Two, by inverting facts. In March, UN Council actors mimicked the Nazi playbook of accusing Jews of sexually violating non-Jews (without corroboration and despite habitual Palestinian deceit). Though the truth is the exact opposite and corroborated by the perps themselves.
Three, by corrupting law. The latest Council resolution purports to criminalize Jews, Jewish self-defense, Jewish self-determination. European states are poised to launch a new legal pogrom and to bankroll it – ghastly reminiscent of their Holocaust records.
The Nuremberg Tribunal taught us crimes are committed by men, not by abstract entities. So “never again” means knowing the what: perversion, inversion, corruption. And the who: Navi Pillay, Chris Sidoti, Miloon Kothari, Francesca Albanese, Volker Türk.
To paraphrase Albanese, as the leading global purveyor of antisemitism, the UN is a stain on world history.”
Francesca Albanese is the UN so-called “expert” on Israel and the “Occupied Palestinian Territory.” On November 13, 2024 she told a Canadian audience that events in Gaza were “part of a century-long project of eliminatory settler-colonialism in Palestine, a stain on the international system and humanity, which must be ended, investigated and prosecuted.”
The full measure of the significance of the UN weighing in to criticize my statement can be better appreciated by hearing the actual hate speech that the UN fails to criticize by comparison. Blood libels, comparisons of Jews to Nazis, and the constant delegitimization of Israel’s very existence.
Here are my remarks.
