When life erupts, I stay calm – in five steps
What do you do when life gets hard?
This is what I do.
- Stop. 2. Breathe. 3. Listen. 4. Communicate. 5. Look for the good.
Shabbat is the most important day of the week. On one hand it is bound to time, but on the other hand, we step off of time. No schedules, phones calls, to do’s or mindless browsing. Everyone has no choice but to be present with each other or completely rest. How did I ever survive without Shabbat before I got married, I have no idea.
Even though it is not easy, especially on a super hot day, and especially for my kids, not many friends in the area. Everyone starts getting creative, some enjoy the sun while others read or sleep. Our brain is able to expand and see beyond our eyes when we give it a chance.
Today started off with a miracle. Our non profit Shay Le Chayal, A Gift for our Soldiers, got official Tax Exempt status. We are brand new, and are excited to visit your community. Please help me spread the word about bringing injured soldiers to communities all over the USA and God Willing the world! Visit www.shaylechayal.org for all the information.
I feel so grateful to have completed a special prayer for 40 days, Nishmat Kol Chai. I walked to the Kotel, and was so emotional as I asked Hashem for blessings for myself, my family and my community. I am still counting the Omer, and today was Hod and Yesod, which is such a powerful mix of surrendering to the connection of the physical and the spiritual.
I am so proud of helping my friend find an apartment in Jerusalem for her daughter going to seminary next year. I have a few people looking for homes, and also have an investment opportunity. Real Estate is fascinating, especially with the feeling of bringing my brothers and sisters home. Ask me anything!
As the global Jewish community is mourning the loss of a young couple gunned down in Washington DC, we are more united than ever and proudly using our voices to speak for Jewish people and Israel all over the world.
THANK GOD FOR A STRONG ISRAEL
