Dear Leaders of the Free World, You are looking the wrong way.
Various threats are truly real – the tsunamis that are extremism and immigration, cultural change of countries I hardly recognize anymore, the threat of hostile nations such as Russia, and the complete transformation AI is having on the old economy (and who knows what in terms of the future economy, our data etc.)
Additionally, I am honestly not sure about the scale of an environmental crisis which was literally minutes from destroying the world which seems to have disappeared before our eyes, as its activists have teamed with a deep and dark enemy on a different cause altogether.
You, continually look the wrong way – at Israel which it seems to treat as the cause, the spark, the point of focus on which to turn its attention. If only it were not there then all would be good in the world.
You are wrong. It is a buttress. It is the nation that was attacked openly by these forces, in the most brutal way, and has had to defend itself at a terrible cost.
The other threats are very cleverly hiding behind and some are fuelling this one doing their business with almost a shield of total protection.
That Europe is being plagued by this front is no surprise – we see clearly the Palestinian Flags at supposed Education based protests. If America changes course we will no doubt see it more and more there even though it is doings its very best to raise its ugly head.
AI is quietly going about changing the world and hoovering up our data. We all use it and it helps us all, but our control over it is simply inept, as companies are far too focussed on job cuts and the impact of AI on their profits.
At a time when international organizations and nation states have to act, they are too busy recognising Palestine, imposing sanctions on Israel and using the terrible situation in Gaza as a pretext to all of this. Now the Iran war is being blamed for rising prices but the root cause is Extremist elements of Islam executing their own and prosecuting war via Hamas and Hezbollah on Israel.
Many leaders of the world are blind, and the clues are in front of their noses but they are too weak or too distracted to act.
A world I once knew is being replaced by a deeply dark and scary one. People don’t want to admit this – it is too politically sensitive but the rise of Islam in its extreme version, the impact of Social Media Bots and the beguiling of youth to support their cause is upon us.
I am speaking to an Echo-Chamber I know, one that has no hope of making change but I still feel the need to shout out.
It must surely be time to recognize what is happening. If the US goes the same way, it is ‘Game Over’ for the West.
Israel is a barrier to the flood gates but it is being treated as the root cause of everything – which is another word for Antisemitism – the convenient and old fashione source to blame for all the world’s problems.
