Aurele Tobelem is a historian and researcher specialising in colonial North Africa and the modern Middle East. He has written extensively on Middle Eastern affairs, with a focus on regional security, interfaith relations, and political dynamics. He currently serves as the Director of Research at the Forum for Foreign Relations.
Aurele has contributed to The Times of Israel, The Jerusalem Post, Quillette, and Global Arab Network. His work explores the intersection of diplomacy, historical narratives, and contemporary conflicts in the region. He has also been a Youth Advocate for Harif UK, raising awareness about the experiences of Jewish communities in the MENA.
