Be the voice of Tomaj Salehi

Ye-One Rhie, a member of the German Parliament, expressed concern about Mr. Salehi’s condition.

Ye-One-Rhie tweeted: “Toomaj Salehi has been in solitary confinement nonstop for 116 days. His health is worrying. His injuries by torture have never been treated. It’s not only his eye but also his hands, his ribs and his leg. These could lead to permanent damage.”

This member of parliament wrote in the continuation of this series of tweets: “The whole world should know who is responsible: Investigator Mohammad Hossein Bakhshi and Prosecutor Mousavian charged Toomaj Salehi with “Corruption on Earth” and “War against God”. It’s Judge Barati who will sentence him at branch 1 of the Isfahan Revolutionary Court.

Toomaj Salehi, who has long made music with political themes, was arrested on October 30. He is said to have been subjected to “severe torture” at the hands of the clerical regime while in solitary confinement.

The artist had released songs in support of the ongoing nationwide protests demanding more freedoms and women’s rights, and posted pictures and videos of himself during demonstrations.

The Iranian authorities have indicted Salehi with “corruption on earth” and “waging war against God,” serious offenses that could result in death sentences.
