Pre-emptive strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities is long overdue
If it succeeds in acquiring a nuclear capability, the Iran Islamic regime will solidify and sanitize itself as the quintessential citadel and wellspring of jihadist terror, regional instability and threat to world peace. This is not forgetting the tyrannical misrule the people of Iran continue to endure under the cruel jihadist zealots. Unlike Qatar whose support for Islamist terrorism is earth scorched, the mullahs of Tehran have never minced words in declaring their genocidal intentions. Barbequing the Zionist state of Israel by nuclear blaze is top on the priority list. After taking care of the small satan, as they refer to Israel, they will obviously turn their insane wrath on USA, which they refer to as the big satan.
The question of nuclear negotiations with Iran is not a lightweight diplomatic afterthought to be handled by a naive Trump emissary like Steve Witkoff. Other than his face, Mr. Witkoff has nothing to show for loitering around Middle East, Russia and Ukraine. Donald Trump’s obsession with transactional deals and egoistic showmanship seems to have blocked his sight of the big picture of posterity, national interest and/or a peaceful world for all. In my view, undercutting Marco Rubio, an exceptionally competent leader with Steve Witkoff in efforts to resolve world conflicts is a lamentable strategic blunder. Well, in Trump’s stated dream for Nobel Prize recognition, there may be feeling that credit for diplomatic success may go to Mr. Rubio. Hence the choice of Witkoff, a long time Trump loyalist.
Negotiations with Iran will fail. First because Iran is neither a rational nor a honest actor. Consequently, negotiations should not have preceded total evisceration of Iran’s nuclear facilities. By now, we should be doing a post-mortem on scrap metal at the ruins of Iran nuclear sites. Instead of the current useless Witkoff negotiations, we should be seeing the Tehran tyrants pleading for their lives in a transitional arrangement of returning power to the people of Iran.
Therefore, the Trump administration should not be allowed to filibuster a unilateral Israeli action in Iran on the basis of the so called Witkoff maneuver or roadmap. Israel must necessarily do everything within its means to eliminate the existential threat posed by a nuclear armed Iran. We should not be hearing how there’s no daylight between Benjamin Netanyahu and Donald Trump. How can there be daylight when Israel seems to have surrendered its sovereignty to America? To re-assert its sovereignty, reaffirm its independence and regain its due honour and admiration among nations of the world, Israel must unbuckle the American manacles and take a pre-emptive military strike on the Iran nuclear facilities. Only after such action will the world know whether or not, there exists day light between Israel and the United States of America.
Before he was sworn into office, Trump had issued a series of hellfire threats and ultimatums to Hamas. The threats went unheeded. As of today, there are over 50 hostages, some dead, still caged in the Hamas dens of death. During his recent tour of the Middle East, Qatar, the Hamas consortium and financier had the audacity to release one hostage as a gift for Trump!! To me that’s not a gift, it is an insult and an admission of Qatar’s complicity in terrorism. Why didn’t Trump demand from Qatar the release of all the hostages as per his pre-inauguration threats? He also declared unilateral ceasefire with Houthis…The Houthis celebrated the said ceasefire by launching missiles to Israel- of which one landed near Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv. I’m not saying that there’s a rift between the Trump administration and Israel, I’m simply emphasizing the need for Israel to not always seek American approval in matters of high stakes national security. As a dependable American ally, Israel deserves unequivocal support from the American government. Any appearance of inconsistency in the relationship only serves to embolden their common enemies.
Bibi Netanyahu should issue that important command to the airforce before the toxic smoke of anti-Israel propaganda chokes the entire Trump administration. There are MAGA obscurantists who have been spreading lies, disinformation and innuendo about how Netanyahu wants to drag America into war, and that attack on Iran nuclear sites is going to ignite regional war. Well, the war against nuclear proliferation is not about Israel alone. Being the sole super power, it’s incumbent upon America to lead the world on that front. On igniting a regional war…who doesn’t know that the region is already on fire? On the contrary, Iran is the head of global terror octopus. When you hit Tehran you weaken terror tentacles all over. As such, we are likely to not only witness tremendous de-escalation of the war, but also the collapse of the Ayatollah caliphate.
Israel must be prepared to go it alone. However, if done jointly with America, the better. Time is of essence. After all, IDF cleared the way when they destroyed Iran’s air defense infrastructure. Iran is at its weakest! Why give the tyrants more time to rebuild the same? Hamas’s survival and war in Gaza is dependent on Iran’s success in deceiving Americans on the negotiation table. Take out the sites, take out the Ayatollahs, rescue the hostages, end the war. This, a pre-emptive strike on the Iran nuclear facilities is a matter of sovereign priority.
