The Israel Defense Forces: A Shield of Humanity Against the Forces of Darkness

There is another aspect that must be recalled at the heart of the ongoing confrontation between Israel and Iran’s mullahs an aspect beyond direct military operations or the unprecedented scientific and technological advancements, foremost among them the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in Middle Eastern theaters of war. This astounding progress made by the Israeli military deserves a series of specialized analytical articles. But today, I wish to focus on a deeper truth: the justice that Israel achieves in the face of Iran’s machinery of destruction.

When we contemplate the horrific scene that Iran has orchestrated in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, and Gaza, we cannot help but be astonished at those who attack Israel while ignoring this rampant devastation. The Arab victims claimed by Iran’s militias and proxies far outnumber the casualties of all Arab-Israeli wars combined. Millions have been displaced or gone missing, with countless wounded and killed. Iran’s excesses in glorifying terrorism have reached such heights that they even named a street in Tehran after “Khaled Islambouli,” one of the assassins of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat in 1981 a name only removed three days ago, in preparation for normalizing relations with Cairo.

This is in addition to Iran’s ongoing crimes against its own people: suppressing protests, murdering peaceful demonstrators, and silencing every voice calling for freedom and a civil state instead of the blood-soaked rule of the clergy. Among the tools of this criminal apparatus is what has become known as Iran’s puppet the Houthis a gang that threatens the Gulf’s security and stability at Tehran’s behest, simply because the Gulf peoples have chosen the path of construction and peace rather than hollow war slogans.

The pinnacle of justice was embodied in what the Israel Defense Forces did at dawn on Friday, when they delivered precise strikes against Iranian military sites and facilities, making it clear that the machinery of destruction must pay the price for its crimes. With this legitimate action, Israel is not merely defending itself; it is fighting a battle on behalf of the free world against the forces of darkness led by Iran forces that glorify death and assassinate the future in the name of a distorted past, brandishing false slogans that have brought nothing but misery. This is the truth I have repeated in my writings time and again, and I reaffirm it today.

Here lies the true test of our shared humanity: To which camp do we belong? The camp of life, freedom, and dignity or the camp of darkness and the sacred zero?Title: The Israel Defense Forces: A Shield of Humanity Against the Forces of Darkness

Through its humanity, Israel proves time and again that it does not target innocent Iranian civilians. Its operations are meticulously focused on military leaders, nuclear facilities, and military installations saving itself, the region, and the world from an imminent catastrophe. Iran, by contrast, deliberately targets civilians, launching rockets at Israeli cities to inflict casualties among the innocent. What a vast gulf there is between values that protect human life and forces that can only breathe the stench of blood.

It is unfortunate that some choose to blame Israel for defending itself and the region against a nuclear threat that endangers all of humanity. What greater injustice is there than for the criminal to be spared punishment while the victim is condemned for protecting its very existence? Is it not just that Iran should bear the consequences of masterminding the terror of October 7, 2023? Is it not logical that it should be held accountable for its crimes against the peoples of the Middle East?

At this point, we must recall with both pride and sorrow the immortal names in the annals of resistance against the mullahs foremost among them Mahsa Amini, the young Kurdish Iranian woman whose life was taken by the morality police in September 2022 simply because her hijab did not meet the regime’s oppressive standards. Her martyrdom sparked a sweeping uprising inside Iran and beyond, rallying under the poignant slogan: “Woman, Life, Freedom.” And Neda Agha-Soltan, who was gunned down during the Green Movement protests in 2009 after demanding a simple right: her people’s freedom and dignity. Alongside them are hundreds of women and girls who paid with their lives or liberty for their courage, and many of them still languish in the prisons of the velayat-e faqih regime to this day. After all this, who could possibly blame those who stand up to this criminal regime?

By exercising its legitimate right to self-defense, Israel is rendering an invaluable service to the region and the world. Should it succeed in destroying or crippling Iran’s nuclear program, it will have effectively prevented a regime that epitomizes the ruthless subjugation of peoples from acquiring a deadly nuclear weapon.

The ongoing bloodshed in the Middle East at the hands of the Iranian regime deserves to be documented in cinematic works that will endure in humanity’s collective memory. Among those most capable of delivering such a powerful visual testimony are David Mamet, Aaron Sorkin, and Steven Spielberg. These, and others, can capture both the darkness of the Iranian era and the heroism of those who have stood against it.

To the noble Iranian people: this is your historic opportunity to rid yourselves of the nightmare of the mullahs. The world is watching, and the masks of the theocracy are falling. The time has come for your will to unite in pursuit of a new Iran an Iran that belongs to its ancient civilization, not to the mullahs’ crimes committed in the name of religion.

I conclude this article by extending my heartfelt gratitude to the Israel Defense Forces, which have demonstrated that they are a moral army that fully understands the value of military honor. The IDF has proven that the mullahs’ terrorism will not go unpunished. Our deepest thanks go to Israel for defending not only itself, but also the future of our children and grandchildren, the right of future generations to live in a humane Middle East where all can coexist in peace, and the values of freedom, dignity, and the right to life. Victory to the forces of liberty and humanity against the forces of darkness and bloodshed.
