The UN’s Obsession with Israel: A Case Study in Hypocrisy
Yes, we’ve said this before. We are 15 months into this latest war, and the hypocrisy remains as blatant as ever. The facts haven’t changed—but they need to be repeated because the world continues to ignore them.
If the UN were truly about justice, its actions would be guided by logic and fairness. Instead, the numbers speak for themselves:
UN Resolutions: Disproportionate and Politically Driven
- Since 2015, the UN General Assembly has passed over 140 resolutions against Israel.
- Compare that to the combined number of resolutions against Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, and Syria—a tiny fraction of that.
- The UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) has a permanent agenda item (Item 7) exclusively for Israel, ensuring it is criticized at every session—while actual war criminals get a pass.
UNRWA: Keeping Palestinians as Political Pawns
- Palestinians are the only refugees in the world whose status is inherited, thanks to UNRWA.
- The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) helps real refugees resettle. UNRWA does the opposite: it keeps them in limbo.
- Instead of finding solutions, UNRWA perpetuates dependency—funded largely by Western nations.
The UN Ignores Real Humanitarian Crises
While Israel is constantly scrutinized, the UN has no special investigations into:
- China’s Uyghur genocide (1+ million in camps)
- 500,000+ killed in Syria’s civil war
- The Taliban’s oppression of women (banned from schools and public spaces, etc.)
- Iran’s executions of protesters, including women and children
- etc.
Yet, Israel—a democracy defending itself against terrorism—is treated as the world’s worst violator.
Why Does This Happen?
Because at the UN, morality takes a backseat to political alliances. The 50+ member Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) controls much of the agenda, and Western nations often follow along out of diplomatic convenience.
Call to Action: It’s Time to Push Back
The UN has become (well, has almost always been) a theater of absurdity, rewarding terror and punishing self-defense. This doesn’t just affect Israel—it undermines global human rights and emboldens authoritarian regimes.
So, what can and must we do?
✔️ Challenge misinformation. Speak up when you see false narratives spreading.
✔️ Hold institutions accountable. Demand that your government and universities stop legitimizing UNRWA’s dysfunction.
✔️ Support organizations exposing UN bias. Groups like UN Watch and other human rights organizations fight back with facts.
✔️ Spread the truth. Share this information so others see the hypocrisy for what it is.
The UN can pass as many biased resolutions as it wants, but facts don’t change. Truth matters. Now, more than ever, we must make sure it’s heard.
