Abdi Ali Barkhad

To President Donald J. Trump

To His Excellency President Donald Trump,

For many years, you spoke openly and critically about the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya. You repeatedly argued that the removal of leaders such as Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gaddafi created long-term instability, insecurity, economic destruction, and suffering for millions of innocent civilians. You also stated many times that these military interventions cost the United States trillions of dollars while producing little lasting peace or stability in those regions.

Because of those statements, many people around the world believed that your leadership would focus more on diplomacy, dialogue, economic cooperation, and conflict prevention rather than military confrontation. Many ordinary citizens across different nations saw you as a leader who understood the dangers of endless wars and the importance of protecting national interests without dragging countries into prolonged conflicts.

The people of the world expected that under your leadership, stronger efforts would be made to reduce tensions and restore peace, especially in the Middle East, a region that has suffered from decades of war, division, terrorism, political instability, and humanitarian crises. Millions of innocent civilians, including women and children, continue to pay the price for conflicts that have lasted for generations.

Islam,Christianity and Judaism are religions that encourage peace, mercy, justice, and coexistence among humanity. All faiths teach the importance of respecting human life, avoiding oppression, and promoting reconciliation between nations and communities. Many people therefore hoped that world leaders would act according to these universal values by prioritizing peace and dialogue over destruction and violence.

Today, the international community expects responsible leadership capable of reducing global tensions and preventing the expansion of wars that threaten international security and economic stability. The world economy is already under significant pressure due to inflation, rising fuel prices, food shortages, supply chain disruptions, and increasing military expenditures. Ordinary citizens across the world, including many families in the United States, are facing growing economic hardship and uncertainty about the future.

The ongoing war in Ukraine involving Russia has created serious global consequences beyond Europe itself. The conflict has affected energy markets, food supplies, international trade routes, and diplomatic relations between major powers. Many people around the world hope that stronger diplomatic efforts can eventually bring an end to the violence and encourage negotiations that protect international stability and human life.

Mr. President, many people did not expect to see increasing instability, geopolitical polarization, and rising military tensions during a period when there was great hope for stronger global peace initiatives. America’s international image and reputation have faced criticism in different parts of the world due to ongoing conflicts, political divisions, and inconsistent foreign policy decisions. Historically, the strength of America was not measured only by military power, but also by its moral leadership, diplomacy, innovation, democratic values, and ability to unite allies around common global goals.

Your well-known slogan, “Make America Great Again,” inspired millions of Americans and supporters around the world. However, true greatness is not measured only through economic or military strength. Greatness is also reflected in the ability of a nation to promote peace, prevent unnecessary wars, support international cooperation, and contribute positively to global stability and human progress.

At the same time, global powers such as China continue expanding their economic, technological, and geopolitical influence across different regions of the world. Many analysts believe that prolonged global conflicts and divisions create opportunities for competing powers to strengthen their international position while traditional alliances become weakened by instability and mistrust.

History remembers leaders not only for victories in war, but also for wisdom, restraint, diplomacy, and their contribution to peace and humanity. The world today urgently needs leadership that prioritizes dialogue over confrontation, cooperation over division, and stability over prolonged conflict.

The international community hopes that global leaders, especially powerful nations such as the United States, will work together to reduce tensions, end destructive wars, strengthen diplomacy, and build a more peaceful and stable future for coming generations.
