Born in Diyarbakır in 1993, he spent his childhood in Istanbul. He graduated from Kırıkkale Police Vocational School, affiliated with the Turkish National Police Academy. After completing his training, he served for three years in the Turkish National Police.
He later pursued a career in journalism, working as a reporter and editor for various local media organizations in Istanbul. He studied Photography and Camera Operation at Istanbul Gelisim University but left the program before completing it. He subsequently completed a bachelor’s degree in International Relations.
In 2021, he founded Yeşil Beykoz, an Istanbul-based local newspaper, and became its owner and publisher. Published monthly in print, the newspaper also operates an online news website that is updated daily. Yeşil Beykoz adopted an editorial focus on ecology, politics, and local affairs, addressing Turkey’s political and social agenda through the themes of nature and freedom. The newspaper also became known for its critical news coverage and publications concerning the policies of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his government.
In 2023, he came to public attention with his article titled “Hamas’s Immoral War Tactic: A Rocket Launcher in Front of a School,” published by the Turkish-language news website Haber Israel.
His research and professional interests include Kurdish society, Islamist organizations, Israel, and Middle Eastern politics. He currently lives in Brussels.
